Welcome To Year Four's Class Page

Homework Times Tables

Times tables are extremely important in Year Four and we need to know all times table facts by the end of Year 4!

Linked to our learning in class, your TT Rock Stars will be linked to the 2, 5 and 10s times tables for the first few weeks and their division facts. I'm looking forward to seeing your rapid times! This term, we will also have Friday times table quizzes, which the children will bring home with them to practise.

Homework Spellings

Week Beginning 18th October 2021

Please find this week's spellings below. Spellings follow the same format as last year.

Please apply these to ten sentences with a capital letter and full stop.

Please have books in school on Friday for checking.

The spelling rule we will focus on this week in class is words with the prefix DIS meaning not/none or when we want to give the opposite meaning of a word:

disagree

disobey

disbelief

disrespect

discomfort

displace

displease

dislike

distrust

disloyal

CHALLENGE: Can you include noun phrases in your sentences this week?

E.g. The old sofa caused great discomfort.
