The staff and Governors at the school are committed to providing all of our children the opportunity and support to develop to their full potential. Furthermore, through a broad and enriched curriculum we strive to ensure our children are involved in all aspects school life and feel confident and happy as they achieve through faith, love and respect.

There have been major changes to the ways in which schools are required to respond to the needs of children with SEND. Here at St. Marie’s, we have reviewed our policies and procedures in light of these changes and all relevant documents are available to view below.

St Marie's Catholic Primary school is supported by the Local Authority through the Local Offer. The Local Offer provides all the information and provision we expect to be available across education, health and social care for children and young people in the Wigan Borough, who have SEN or are disabled, including those who do not have Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.

Wigan Local Offer provides information of services which could support children and young people with SEN. Click on the link below to find out more information.

The  Autism Pathway and Service Work with schools, teachers and  parents to help support children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), you can find  further information at the link below.
